Charleston Tops Concord in Second Round

(CHARLESTON)---The top four seeds at the WVIAC Women's Tennis Championship made quick work of their quarterfinal opposition on Friday afternoon.
Top-seeded Charleston remained unbeaten with a 5-0 win against Concord. West Virginia State and West Virginia Wesleyan also posted matching 5-0 victories. State's second-seeded Yellow Jackets blanked Seton Hill, while Wesleyan downed Fairmont State. The other quarterfinal match saw Shepherd knock off West Liberty 5-1 in the matchup of #4 and #5 seeds.
Semifinal action sees Charleston battle Shepherd, while Wesleyan and State will meet in the late match. Rainy and windy conditions in the Charleston area is expected to move that action under cover into the Indoor Tennis Center sometime during the afternoon.
