There’s nothing quite like a home-course advantage.
Both Mountain Lions Cross Country teams posted strong showings in the Concord Invitational on Saturday at Pipestem State Park, located just seven miles from the CU campus.
Both the women and the men swept the top five individual finishing positions to post 15 team points. That’s the lowest – and best – team score possible.
The Concord men are ranked #6 in this week’s U.S Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Poll. CU is also the top-ranked team in the most recent WVIAC Power Ratings poll, and voted upon by the league coaches.
The Concord women are #5 in the conference power ratings.
Here are Saturday’s results. They are limited to showing the top seven runners from each team. Again, only the top five individual showings apply to a team’s total.
