Monday's victory over Bluefield College (VA) was the final non-conference match for the Concord Volleyball team this season.
Between now and the start of the WVIAC Tournament, it's all conference foes for the Mountain Lions.
Concord returned to the league schedule with a four-set loss at Davis & Elkins Wednesday night. CU fell to the Senators 25-16, 25-13, 23-25, 25-18.
“We started out strong in set one, but then made too many mistakes,” said Concord head coach Kate Southcott. “That cost us the set. (D&E has) beaten some good teams this season, so I'm proud of most of our play. Tonight, we just made too many errors.”
It was CU's fourth straight conference loss, dropping Concord's record to 2-6 in the WVIAC and 10-15 overall.
Concord returns home to the Carter Center for two matches in short order this weekend.
Concord hosts Glenville State Friday night at 7:00, then gets up bright and early for a matchup with West Virginia Wesleyan Saturday morning at 9:30.
