BASKETBALL DOUBLEHEADER RESCHEDULED

Blizzard Forces Move of DH vs Wheeling Jesuit

The major winter storm that struck southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia on January 29th and 30th has forced the rescheduling of Concord's basketball doubleheader against Wheeling Jesuit.

Originally set for Saturday, January 30th, the twinbill will be played instead on Wednesday, February 24th at the Carter Center.
The women's game will start at 5:30 pm EST.
The men's game will follow at 7:30 pm.

Both games will be broadcast on Classic Rock 102 The River (102.3 FM WMTD) and webcast at www.theriver102.com, beginning at 5:00 pm.
Streaming video can be found at www.concord.edu/mltv, beginning at tip-off of the women's game.

Free admission will be offered to anyone who brings in a children's book to donate at the Carter Center on the day of the rescheduled CU-WJU doubleheader.  The books will be collected for the Women's Shelter in Charleston, WV.

This is the second time bad weather has impacted this season's Mountain Lion basketball schedule.  The historic snowstorm that struck on December 18, 2009 forced CU to reschedule its doubleheader at West Virginia State originally set for December 20.

The Concord women played their rescheduled game at WVSU on January 25, falling to the Yellow Jackets 74-62.
The CU men dropped their make-up game to the Jackets, 75-69, on February 1.
