The book drive being held by Concord University’s Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, in conjunction with 50th WVIAC Basketball Tournament at the Charleston Civic Center Arena, will continue through March 1st.
The drive began with free admission offered to anyone who brought a children's book to be donated at the Carter Center during Concord's basketball doubleheader against Alderson-Broaddus on February 12th.
Mountain Lions fans responded by bringing in more than 160 books, which will be given to the children living at the Women's Shelter in Charleston.
Books and monetary donations will be accepted at the Carter Center through Monday, March 1st. Donations by mail will also be appreciated. The address is:
Concord University Department of Athletics

Concord student-athletes will bring the donated books to the Women's Shelter, and read to the children there, during the WVIAC Tournament March 3rd-6th.
Concord Athletics and the WVIAC thank you for your support.
