With a gap in their conference schedule – the Concord Women's Soccer team doesn't have another league match until October 20th – the Lady Lions stepped out of the WVIAC and stepped over West Virginia University Tech 6-0 on Tuesday, October 12 at Anderson Field.

Concord outshot the visitors from Montgomery 27-7 and had a 16-3 advantage over the Golden Bears in shots on goal.

The Lady Lions scored in the match's first minute, as Erika Hoff put her own rebound in the back of the net. Kate Armentrout scored in the 6th minute and Kelsey Ballard in the 20th, as Concord took a 3-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, CU got goals from Lindsey DeVaughn in the 47th minute, Gemma Nortcliffe in the 48th and DeVaughn, again, in the 65th.

Up next for the Lady Lions is another non-conference match. Concord visits Bluefield College (VA) for a morning game on Homecoming Saturday, October 16. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:00 am at the East River Soccer Complex in Bluefield, WV.
