If Javaughn Acree-Manuel keeps going like this, people are going to pay attention.

Concord's junior shooting guard first moved into the spotlight when he led the Mountain Lions with 17 points in their exhibition game against Division I Marshall November 4th.

Monday night, the junior from Lansing, MI took another star turn, leading CU with 39 points in a 95-89 loss at WVU Tech.

Acree-Manuel scored 22 points in the first half, shooting 7-10 from the floor, 4-5 from three-point range. He ended up 11-22, 5-11 and 12-12 from the free throw line.

Concord trailed 47-41 at halftime, but opened the second half on an 8-0 run to go ahead 49-47. The Golden Bears recovered, however, and twice opened up a 10-point lead. CU would pull within 91-87 in the final minute but got no closer.

Corey Neeley just missed a triple-double for CU, finishing with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Jerontae Hunter chipped in contributed 11 points.

6'8” Josh Proctor led WVU Tech with 24 points and 15 rebounds. 6'5” Joseph Morgan added 21 points and six rebounds. The Golden Bears outrebounded Concord, 51-33.

WVU Tech shot .577 (15-26) in the second half and .507 (35-69) for the game. The Mountain Lions shot .517 (15-29) in the first half, but cooled off to .326 (14-43) in the second, winding up at .403 (29-72) for the contest.

The Mountain Lions forced 27 Tech turnovers.
