MOUNTAIN LIONS 8th AFTER 1st ROUND OF UNA SPRING CLASSIC

Concord's Men's Golf team stands at 8th place out of 20 teams after the first round of the North Alabama Spring Classic on Monday, March 29th.

Junior Emmanuel Charmat and freshman Johan Isberg posted the Mountain Lions' top scores on Monday. Each shot a 77 on the par-72, 8092-yard Robert Trent Jones-designed Fighting Joe Course in Muscle Shoals, AL. The Concord duo is tied for 18th in the individual standings.

Other CU results were: Ryan Terdik, 78; Jimmy Ettore, 80; Kyle Long, 81.

Three players carded a 72 to share the first round lead -- Brett Munson (North Alabama), Kyke Roy (Tampa) and Morgan Leigh (Lindenwood).

“Our guys grinded it out hard and posted a solid number,” said Concord assistant coach Darcy Donaldson. “Very tough course and conditions today. We're three shots behind Central Missouri – they're the 4th-ranked team in the country.”

The host school, North Alabama, ranked #7 in the nation, holds the first round lead.
