The Concord Baseball team waited out the long winter and a three-week delay to the start of their season, finally beginning the campaign with a 6-4 loss at Armstrong Atlantic State [GA] on Sunday, March 7th.

That one loss had an impact on the Mountain Lions' spot in the National Collegiatee Baseball Writers Association Atlantic Region poll.  Concord fell two spots to #8 in the most recent ranking, released on March 8th.

Concord is one of four WVIAC teams in the top ten.  Seven WVIAC teams are in the top fifteen.
