CU TRIO SHINES AT DUKE TWILIGHT

CARNETT, PRATT, McDANIEL EXCEL IN DURHAM

It wasn't quantity, but quality, that highlighted Concord Track & Field's appearance at the Duke Twilight meet in Durham, NC on May 9th.

The Mountain Lions entered just three events, but turned in memorable performances in each of them.

WVIAC Women's Rookie of the Year Shawnee Carnett continued her impressive spring campaign by finishing fourth in the 800 meter run.
Her time of 2:12.26 is the 14th best in all of NCAA Division II this season and the top time posted by a freshman in 2010.
Carnett is already a provisional qualifier for the upcoming NCAA National meet.

Brittany Pratt was runner-up in the 200 meter dash at :25.62. It was her second-best time of the season.

Lance McDaniel recorded what CU head coach Mike Cox called “a big personal best” in the Men's 1500 meters, crossing the finish line in 4:04.96. It was the second-best showing for a Division II competitor at the Duke event.
