After scuffling through much of the first round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, Concord lowered its score in Wednesday's second round.
The Mountain Lions shot a 313 in round two, 14 shots fewer than the day before. Concord moved into a tie for 17th place in the 20-team field playing at the par-72, 7173-yard Sagamore Golf Club in Noblesville, IN.

Kyle Long, whose 74 was Concord's best score on Tuesday, shot an 80 in the second round. Long couldn't find a rhythm early -- he started with a double bogey on the first hole, a bogey on #5 and another double bogey on #6. Emmanuel Charmat followed his tough 84 on Tuesday with an even-par 72 Wednesday, CU's best round of the day. The junior posted eight pars and one birdie (at the par-3 4th hole) on the front nine, then rode a roller coaster after the turn. Ryan Terdik shaved five shots off his Tuesday total with an 80 in round two. He went six over par on the front nine, found life with back-to-back birdies at #12 and #13, but then was plus-four over the last four holes.
