Onward and upward for Kate Glusko.
The former Concord Women’s Basketball assistant coach is now the head coach at Francis Marion University in Florence, SC.
FMU announced Glusko’s hiring on Monday, May 31st.
Glusko served under Concord head coach Kenny Osborne as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator in the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 seasons.
In her time in Athens, the Lady Lions went 41-16, registering the first 20-win seasons in program history.
The Lady Lions also earned their first regional and national rankings during that time.
Glusko earned a Masters from CU in 2008. She spent the last two seasons at Gannon University (PA), helping the Lady Knights become one of the top teams in NCAA Division II.
“I’m very happy for Kate,” said Osborne. “She’s worked very hard for this opportunity and she’s ready for the challenge. I wish her the best of luck and hope she’ll take Francis Marion to the next level.”
