VOLLEYBALL: PREDICTION MADE, ROSTER SET

WVIAC PRE-SEASON COACHES POLL ANNOUNCED

One of the goals for any Volleyball team in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is to qualify for the league's post-season tournament.

According the conference's coaches, Concord will be in the running -- the WVIAC's annual pre-season poll tabs CU for 12th-place this fall.  The conference's top 12 teams earn spots in the tournament

Last season, under first-year head coach Kate Southcott, Concord finished 11-20, 3-11 WVIAC, and just missed the conference tournament.  The Lady Lions posted a 7-21 record in 2008.

The Lady Lions open the season at the Falcon Fest Tournament in Fairmont, WV, September 4-5. 
The WVIAC campaign begins with a visit to Bluefield State on Monday, September 13.
CU's home opener is against Fairmont State on September 17.
