In 2009, Concord wide receiver Thomas Mayo led NCAA Division II in pass receiving yards per game and became CU's first Harlan Hill Award regional finalist.

Meanwhile, Mountain Lions running back Brian Kennedy topped the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in rushing on the way to scoring 20 touchdowns.

Both players played big roles in Concord improving to 6-5 after an 0-11 season in 2008, and are expected to lead the Mountain Lions to greater heights in 2010.  The pair have been friends since childhood and share a close bond.

As part of its "Kickoff 2010" series, the WVIAC website has posted a feature on Concord's game-breaking duo.  You can read that feature here:  www.wviac.org/news/2010/8/18/FB_0818101617.aspx
