MEN'S SOCCER: 2010 BASICS

ROSTER, SCHEDULE SET FOR NEW SEASON


As the old saying goes, "the third time is a charm."

Head coach Steve Barrett takes Concord's revived Men's Soccer program into its third season in 2010 with 15 returning players, including eight starters.

The Mountain Lions were 6-11-1 last season, 2-7-1 in the WVIAC.

CU begins its 2010 season with four straight home matches, including a pair over Labor Day weekend.  The Mountain Lions host Holy Family University (PA) at 5:00 pm on Friday, September 3, then take on East Stroudsburg University (PA) at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 4.

Concord opens WVIAC play against Davis & Elkins at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 8 at Anderson Field.  CU hosts Seton Hill in another conference match at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 11.
Concord's other home matches are:

   Shepherd, Saturday, September 25, 2:00 pm
 
   University of Charleston, Tuesday, October 5, 4:00 pm
   Salem International, Saturday, October 23, 2:00 pm

The Mountain Lions' first road game is at WVIAC foe West Virginia Wesleyan on September 14.  In all,
CU will play 10 of its final 13 regular-season matches away from Athens.
