CU BASKETBALL TEAMS ANNOUNCE 2010-2011 SCHEDULES & ROSTERS

Even though Fall sports have just begun, we're only about two months away from the start of the basketball season.

Concord Men's Basketball head coach Steve Cox and Women's head coach Kenny Osborne have unveiled their teams' rosters and schedules for the upcoming campaign.

The CU Men begin their season first, visiting Division I Marshall University for an exhibition game on Thursday, November 4.

Both the Men's and Women's teams open their regular season with a West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday, November 13.

Aside from a full slate of WVIAC games, the Women's non-conference opponents include local foe Bluefield College (VA), Clarion University (PA) and two games against Edinboro University (PA).

The Men's non-WVIAC schedule includes a home-and-home series with nearby West Virginia Tech and two opponents to be determined in the Currence Classic at Bluefield State over Thanksgiving weekend.

Osborne's team has eight returning players -- six with experience as starters -- including All-WVIAC players Camisha Alexander and Jolysa Brown.  The Lady Lions battled through a slew of injuries to key players last season to finish 15-13, 12-10 in the WVIAC.

Seven players -- each with starting experience -- return to Cox's squad.  CU finished 6-22, 5-17 last season.
