DEPTH AT THE TOP

CU PUTS 4 IN TOP 5 IN WINNING WVIAC CENTRAL REGIONAL

Placing all five players in the top 12 – including four in the top five -- the Concord Men's Golf team claimed a double-digit victory in the WVIAC Central Regional Tournament on Monday-Tuesday, September 27-28.

The Mountain Lions' two-day total of 570 put them 10 strokes better than runner-up Bluefield State on the par-72, 6984-yard Canaan Valley Golf Club in Davis, WV.

Andreas Reideborn (above left) and Emmanuel Charmat (right) finished at one-under 143 to tie for 3rd in the individual standings. Johan Isberg and Ryan Terdik were a stroke back, tied for 5th. Matt Morgan was just another shot behind and tied for 12th.

Concord led by five strokes after Monday's first round, then doubled the advantage on Tuesday. CU was the only squad in the 13-team field to finish under par.
