Concord Defeated at Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Concord University men's tennis team lost its opening match of the spring 9-0 to Augusta University Tuesday afternoon.

Junior Alfonso Jimenez took seven games from AU's Alan Vilaro, but fell 6-3, 6-4 in number two singles. Freshman Henrrique Sada dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision in number three singles. Junior Javier Lietor lost his number four singles by the same score as Sada.

Jimenez and freshman Adam Kotana were edged 8-4 in number one doubles.

The Mountain Lions continue their spring break trip Wednesday with a match against Georgia College.
